ABOUT THE ASPEC AFFIRMING PRACTITIONER DIRECTORY

Oftentimes, asexual and aromantic people are met at healthcare visits with invalidating providers who do not believe or discriminate against their identity. This can result in aro/ace-spec people fearing practitioner visits and thus avoiding them, which will have negative impacts on their health. This directory brings together both physical and mental health providers from across the globe who have been proven by previous asexual and/or aromantic patients and clients to be affirming of aromantic and/or asexual-spectrum identities. We hope this directory can lead to safer healthcare experiences for our aro and ace-spec communities overall!
